A fun day of surfing belief.net

Ebon:

"Why would God put a Tree in the garden and tell Adam and Eve not to eat from it?"

Because otherwise Jehovah would have had no excuse to torture humanity and, like every dictator, Jehovah wants to believe he's justified in his actions.

kwinters:

"So, the Judaic interpretation of these prophecies is correct?"

If you're going to use a Jewish title (messiah) and Jewish yardsticks to measure him by, then I'd think it reasonable to say he should be judged on whether or not he accomplished what the Jewish texts say was his mission.

And my all time favorite person on Belief.net and supreme troll of the universe JohnCrawford.

Follow him as he battles the encroachment of science and evolution on modern thinking.
